SDHDF Grant Helped Fund: Rainbowlution Now

The grant from the San Diego Human Dignity Foundation has provided the Storefront Teen Shelter with assistance in producing the “teen zine” Rainbowlution Now. Rainbowlution Now is a zine for LGBTQ youth and their allies. The stories, poems, articles and art provide the teens with an avenue to express and share their personal experiences regarding their identity and how they see the world as a gay youth or an ally of gay youth.

“My experience and the experience of the youth who have contributed to Rainbowlution have been amazing! The zine and the time we spend putting the zine together has given us a healthy avenue for expressing our thoughts and feelings. It has also provided us a community where we can use our talents as artists and writers to tell about being gay or questioning. We feel supported and know that through the zine we will help other youth with their personal journey.” ~Gwen, Rainbowlution Now Peer Editor-in-Chief
