“America’s gay and lesbian population comprises a diverse community with disparate health concerns.” – The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

The San Diego Human Dignity Foundation is committed to achieving equality in health care and wellness for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals. While the issues and impact of HIV/AIDS on the LGBT community has received more attention by the public, the full scope of health issues that affect our community include breast and cervical cancer, hepatitis, mental health, substance abuse, tobacco use, depression, and access to care for transgender persons, among other concerns. There are many ways for donors to help make a difference in the way that these issues relate to health and wellness.
