Welcome from the Executive Director PDF Print E-mail

Tony Freeman, Executive Director, San Diego Human Dignity FoundationThe San Diego Human Dignity Foundation – SDHDF – is the sole community foundation in our region dedicated to the benefit of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people. We fund programs and projects that promote equal treatment, tolerance, wellness, well-being, and above all else, human dignity. We work to strengthen LGBT organizations and leadership. We nurture philanthropic giving to support LGBT people and address important issues such as aging, arts and culture, health and wellness, youth and families, and civil rights.

In essence, we help connect people who care with causes that matter.

One of our most important roles as a LGBT community foundation is to work directly with individuals as well as groups and other organizations.  Together, we are building a stronger LGBT community, and through the power of endowment, we are ensuring a permanent source of funding for our future.

We hope our new, improved website helps to answer your questions and inspires you to get involved and be a valuable part of our growing community of support.

Please feel free to contact me anytime.
